Jungsuk Kim (Member, IEEE) received a B.S. degree (magna cum laude) in electrical engineering from Sogang University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2003; an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 2006; and a Ph.D. degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz, in 2011. After graduating in 2003, he worked at the DRAM Design Laboratory, Samsung Electronics, as an engineer. He is currently Associate Professor with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Gachon University, South Korea. His research interests include integrated circuits and system designs for nanopore sequencing technology and other biomedical applications.
