Dr. Alexander Rudnev is a Leading Scientist at Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences (IPCE RAS). He received his MSc degree in Electrochemistry from D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia in 2004, and his PhD degree in Chemistry from IPCE RAS in 2007. He worked as a post-doctor and Principal Investigator at University of Bern in Switzerland during 2009– 2018. His main research areas include electrocatalysis, electrodeposition of metals and alloys (particularly from ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents), electrochemistry of single-crystal electrodes, adsorption processes, surface modification by organic molecules and inorganic nano-objects, molecular electronics and single-molecule junctions, and scanning probe microscopy. His work also encompasses CO2 and nitrate electroreduction, electrochemical analysis, and the structural characterization of electrode/electrolyte interfaces.
