Biography

I received my Ph.D. (1994) from the Department of Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry at Uppsala University. I have been Senior/Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca R&D (Sodertalje, Sweden) (1995-2012), Adjunct Prof. at Karlstad University (2003-2010), professor at Stockholm University (2011-2017), and now Guest Prof. at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden). My research is focusing on sample preparation for the analysis of drugs in biological fluids. I introduced powerful new tools in sample preparation such as Microextraction by Packed Sorbent (MEPS), Monolithic Packed Tips, and MIP-Tablets. I have more than 30 years of experience (R&D) in analytical and bioanalytical chemistry, having strong background and theoretical knowledge of separation science and state of the art instrumentation related to chromatographic separation and mass spectrometry techniques.
