Dr. Guillermo San Miguel is a lecturer and senior research fellow (PCD-I3) in the School of Industrial Engineering (ETSII) at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He holds a B.Sc. in chemistry, an M.Sc. in environmental impact assessment from University of Wales and a Ph.D. in environmental engineering from Imperial College of London. He received a Ramón & Cajal fellowship and a I-3 award for research excellence in 2007 from the Spanish Ministry of Science. His research interests include life cycle assessment (LCA), environmental, economic and social analysis of products, services and organizations, carbon footprint analysis, biomass and renewable energies, thermal processes, and waste management.
