Education: He completed his B.Sc. (2003) and M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (2005) at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. He earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in 2018 from CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, and RTM Nagpur University, under Dr. Ravindra M. Kumbhare. His thesis was on novel azole derivatives as anticancer agents and new synthetic methodologies. He qualified the CSIR-UGC NET (JRF) in 2008 and held JRF and SRF fellowships at IICT Hyderabad.
Career: He worked as an R&D chemist at Multi Organics Pvt. Ltd., Chandrapur (2005-2007). He then taught at C.J.P. College, Tirora (2013-2015), and at Ismail Yusuf College, Mumbai (2015-2021), before moving to GVISH.
Research: His interests are synthetic heterocyclic chemistry, fluorine chemistry, new synthetic methods, and medicinal chemistry. His work centres on thiazole, thiazolidinone, triazole, and fluorinated heterocycles that are tested as anticancer and antimicrobial agents. He has about 30 or more papers in journals such as the European Journal of Organic Chemistry, MedChemComm, Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, advance synthesis and catalysis and New Journal of Chemistry.
