Hélio M. T. Albuquerque received his Ph.D. in Chemistry, with honors and distinction, from the University of Aveiro in 2017. He is a post-doc fellow at LAQV-REQUIMTE (Aveiro) within the “pAGE—Protein aggregation across the lifespan” project. His current research responsibilities include the development of steroid-based chemical chaperones for protein aggregation-related diseases. He also has been interested in the development of new catalysts/methodologies for C-H activation of natural products. Currently, he also supervising one biochemistry master's student and co-supervising a small team of graduating students. His scientific output includes 29 publications, corresponding to 433 citations (h-index 13) (Scopus, 20 October 2023).
