Prof. Dr. Qiyu Diao is a Professor at the Institute of Feed Research of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He completed his PhD studies in Animal Physiology and Nutrition at the University of Göttingen in Germany and has been awarded the First Prize of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Award and the National Second Class Science and Technology Award. He has published over 200 articles and 10 books and serves as Director of the Ruminant Committee in the Animal Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine and Director of the Functional Laboratory of Nutrition and Feed in National Meat-Type Sheep and Goat Technology System. His research topics mainly include ruminant nutrition and physiology, younger ruminant rearing, and the nutrient requirements of sheep and goats.
