Dr. Sushil Kumar is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Studies, Siksha-Bhavana (Institute of Science), Visva-Bharati (A Central University), Santiniketan, West Bengal, India. He has received M.Sc. degree in Environmental Science from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. He has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) from the School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. His doctoral and post-doctoral research mainly covered the chemistry and atmospheric transport of size-segregated particles. His research area encompasses air pollution, atmospheric microplastics, and environmental chemistry of soil, sediments and surface dust. He has supervised more than 35 M.Sc. dissertations on different aspects of environmental pollution. Currently, he is supervising PhD students on different aspects of air pollution and environmental chemistry of toxic metals and has also published various research articles, edited books, and book chapters in internationally reputed journals and publishing houses.
