Dr. Wenbin Chen is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. in Electronic Science and Technology from the School of Electronic Engineering at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2026. He previously earned his bachelor’s degree in Electromagnetic Fields and Wireless Technology from the same school in 2020. His research interests include multi-agent communication, AI-driven optical network optimization, semantic optical communication, digital twin modeling for optical communication, and satellite laser communication. He has published a total of 27 SCI/EI papers, including 10 SCI/EI papers as the first author, including IEEE Transactions on Communications, Journal of Lightwave Technology, and Optics Express, and conferences such as the European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC).
