Prof. Dimitrios Papandreou holds a Doctor of Medicine in Clinical Pediatric Nutrition from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and two Master’s degrees from Columbia University, New York, USA. He worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nicosia (2008–2013) and as an Associate and Full Professor at Zayed University, UAE, from 2013 to 2023. He also served as the Assistant Dean for Research and Outreach from 2016 to 2023 at Zayed University, UAE. Professor Papandreou has been an RDN from the USA since 1998. He is currently a Professor of Nutrition in the Clinical Nutrition Department at the University of Sharjah, UAE.
