This article aims to investigate the role of waste management in the development of modern green and smart cities and to determine the existence of several key points in programs transforming cities into green cities with smart technologies. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to develop a theoretical and methodological basis for the green and smart city concepts. The research process involved the following methods: Scientific analysis, comparison, and synthesis. The research results of the case study of Russia determined that for urban territories with great distances between urban districts, waste sorting stations should be located as parts of so-called waste recycling complexes at intermunicipal landfills. This will allow a more fully implementation of the concept of recycling economy not only in Russian cities, but also in other cities with sparse populations across the world. Further, the authors conclude that the effectiveness of green technologies in modern cities, especially in waste management, depends on the level of participation of citizens. People are active participants in the life processes of cities and have a direct impact on the urban environment. Consequently, the introduction of green technologies can only be achieved in harmony with the well-established behavioral attitudes of city residents together with the implementation of green and smart urban technologies.

The paper is aimed at determining the relationship between personal and organizational values in an innovative company, and the compliance of the basic elements of the organizational culture of an enterprise to the requirements of its innovative development. The main goal of the study is to determine how to improve personnel activity by changing the organizational culture. To achieve the goal of this study, a survey of employees of an innovative Russian company is conducted in order to determine the compliance of the organizational culture as a whole, as well as its main elements (personal and organizational values), to modern business conditions. The main research methods employed are a questionnaire survey, bibliographic analysis, and content analysis. Barrett’s Cultural Values Assessment methodology is selected and adapted to the conditions of active innovative organizations and enterprises in Russia. Based on the application of Barrett’s Cultural Values Assessment methodology, adapted to the specifics of the given company, an assessment of the existing organizational culture is obtained, inconsistencies between the current and desired organizational culture are identified, and recommendations for changing the organizational culture of the company are formulated. It is concluded that organizational culture is an active resource when managing sustainable development, and is part of organizational innovation. A well-grounded and adequate choice of directions and methods for organizational changes is an important factor in achieving business sustainability. The results of the analysis imply the necessity of changing the existing organizational culture of the given company.

This article aims to assess and forecast the dynamics of a regional green economy. The research relevance is determined by the need to develop theoretical and methodological basis of the green economy for the transition period and to identify criteria basis for assessing the state and regional level of it. The authors applied the modern methods, which allowed to model criteria considering data uncertainty and both static and dynamic criteria. The research process involved the methods of scientific analysis, comparison and synthesis, the theory of fuzzy sets, and fuzzy modeling. The main principles and methodology of the criteria evaluation for a regional green economy are proposed. The principal methodological approach in this research combines the current state and dynamics of the green economy in evaluating and forecasting the conditions of data uncertainty. The research results form a theoretical, methodological, and practical basis for assessing the current state and level of a regional green economy development, determining the effectiveness of environmental and economic programs, optimizing financial management, conducting environmental monitoring, and developing state plans.

Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 concepts are actively developing all over the world. The accelerating transition to Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 sets new requirements for the university education system in qualifications and competencies of engineering universities graduates. The article reveals the possibilities of using cognitive models in the professional training of research engineers for new industries. Authors used the modeling method for creating a cognitive and metacognitive model of the process. It can be used for the development of forming the optimal structure of higher professional engineering education. The article substantiates that the main tasks of modernization of pedagogical approaches in modern education, is to establish the compliance of educational products with the labor market requirements and transform the structure of vocational education, providing training for professional specialists required by specific employers. Conclusions are drawn about the important role of soft skills for engineering education in Industry 4.0. The results obtained in the study can be used for the engineering category of students.

In modern conditions, management technology is becoming the main instrument of competition in many areas of production and business. The article focuses on the examinations of issues related to the possibilities of introducing an integrated risk management system in modern high-tech enterprises. The main scientific research methods are bibliographic analysis, formal logic methods, comparative analysis, methods of analogies. Based on the application of the guidelines of systems’ theory, of the theory of self-organization, the theory of risk management, and the theory of reflexive control the expert technology for risk management in a high-tech industrial enterprise was developed. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the use of technologies such as the ETRM will help to increase the feasibility and effectiveness of implementing complex projects such as fast-response QRM production.
