Halloysite nanotubes (HNTs)-based nanocomposites incorporating MoS2 and Pd (HNTs@MoS2, HNTs@Pd, and HNTs@Pd–MoS2) were prepared and their electrochemical properties were evaluated for supercapacitor applications. Various characterization techniques were used to examine the synthesized materials, demonstrating effective decoration of HNTs with MoS₂ and Pd while retaining their tubular structure. Electrochemical measurements in 1 M KOH revealed that the HNTs@Pd–MoS2 nanocomposite delivered 553.2 F g-1 at 1 A g-1, demonstrating superior performance relative to the other samples. In addition, this electrode showed lower internal resistance and improved charge transport behavior. From the cycling stability perspective, the HNTs@Pd–MoS2 electrode retained 93.4% of its initial capacitance after 500 cycles, indicating stable long-term performance. These findings demonstrate that the HNTs@Pd–MoS₂ hybrid is a promising electrode material for high-performance supercapacitor applications.
