Eva Barreira obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from FEUP in 2000, a Master's in Civil Engineering Building Construction from FEUP in 2004, and a PhD in Civil Engineering from FEUP in 2010. She is an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Porto, Faculty of Engineering (FEUP). She is a member of the Scientific Committee of MPRINCE and a director of EARPE. She is an integrated member of the CONSTRUCT R&D Unit and of the Laboratory of Building Physics, both at FEUP. She is a scientific supervisor and co-supervisor of several post-doctoral, doctoral, and Master's projects. She has collaborated on several training courses and prepared various technical reports. She has participated in various national and international R&D projects and she was member of several scientific and organizing committees of national and international events. She is a Guest Editor of 4 Special Issues and the author of 5 international and national books and more than 150 scientific publications, including about 50 articles in international peer-reviewed journals listed in the Science Citation Index (SCI). She develops research work on building physics (hygrothermal behaviour of buildings, thermal comfort, natural ventilation and airtightness, and energy efficiency of buildings), infrared thermography, in situ and laboratory testing, technology of construction, building pathology, and building rehabilitation.
