The outcomes also exposed that project management moderating among the nexus of economy boosts up the international relations and success of CPEC. The present study results guided how Pakistan and China make the CPEC project stronger with the efficient implementation of practices required for protecting the environment, with the economic growth and boost up, and good strong relations with foreign countries. This study was an attempt to validate the different factors to check their association with each other in a new environment, resulting in a leading edge for the success of mega projects that influence project management.

The coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) has undoubtedly created immense health problems in the global healthcare sector. Apart from its impact on physical health, it has devastatingly affected the psychological well-being of individuals. Based on Affective Events Theory (AET), the current study aims to contemplate the relationship between Fear of COVID-19 (CVF), psychological concerns (PC), and financial concerns (FC) while considering the impact on the healthcare employees’ job performance (JP). Moreover, this study investigates the mediating role of job anxiety (ANX), stress (ST), and depression (DEP). The data were collected through an online structured questionnaire (Google Forms) from 489 employees working in the healthcare centers of Pakistan. The structured equation modeling (partial least square) approach is adopted for data analysis. The study results showed that Fear of COVID-19, psychological and financial concerns positively and significantly affect healthcare workers’ job performance. Depression, anxiety, and stress mediated the relationship between Fear of COVID-19, psychological concerns, financial concerns, and job performance. The study theoretically and practically contributes to the existing literature on psychological and mental health by providing a better understanding of the individual variables that affect employees’ job performance.

Purpose: This study aims to extend the understanding of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) by investigating the international EO (IEO) from the perspective of the international performance of born global firms. The born global firm's EOs toward global firms led to innovation and dynamic organizational capabilities and to improve the firms' international performance and development.Design/methodology/approach: It is a hypothesis that IEO predicted that utilization of export promotion programs (EPPs) would be positively associated with international performance. The samples of 405 respondents were collected from born global firms to acquire higher international performance of firms in China. Structural equation modeling (SEM) and mediation analysis are processed to test the proposed hypotheses empirically.Findings: The results from the SEM test revealed that the network relationships and utilization of EPPs fully mediate the effect of IEO on international performance. These results indicate that not only IEO is an important factor of network relationships but also the utilization of EPPs and international performance for born global firms. IEO can motivate managers to find the right network relationships and ultimately improve company performance. The IEO of the initiative has strong impact on the performance of international firms.Originality/value: There is a comprehensive view among the relationships of IEO, entrepreneurial competencies and the network utilization of government EPPs, international performance in the context of born global firms. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed in detail.

Background: Propofol is a short-acting anesthetic used to induce sedation in various ambulatory and inpatient surgical procedures. It is a US Food and Drug Administration approved lipid-based intravenous hypnotic agent, which has been used clinically for the induction and maintenance of anesthesia for over 3 decades. In addition to general anesthesia, it is used to sedate patients undergoing mechanical ventilation or short procedures such as endoscopy, transesophageal echocardiogram, and abscess drainage. An infrequent but serious complication of propofol is acute pancreatitis (AP), with potentially significant morbidity and possible mortality. In this review, we will discuss the proposed mechanisms of AP secondary to propofol, a number of reported cases, studies conducted, and treatment strategies.Areas of Uncertainty: There are several case reports in the literature that have shown an association between propofol and pancreatitis. The exact mechanism behind propofol-induced pancreatitis is not fully understood, but proposed mechanisms include hypertriglyceridemia (HTG), hypersensitivity, or direct pancreatic toxicity of the drug. Although the association of propofol and pancreatitis has not been proven conclusively, clinicians should be aware of this possible rare complication to prevent the devastating consequences of AP.Data Sources: We gathered articles on previously documented case reports and up-to-date studies on propofol-induced pancreatitis by searching databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar. Results: Based on previous studies and case reports, we suggest that propofol should be added to a list of drugs having a direct association with AP.Conclusions: Although, the mechanism of propofol-induced pancreatitis is not fully understood, and the causal relationship of propofol-induced hypertriglyceridemia or idiosyncratic drug reaction has remained unproven. Clinicians should be aware of the association between propofol and pancreatitis, and any patient presenting with abdominal pain after propofol infusion should be evaluated for AP and treated promptly to avoid complications.
