Prof. Dr. Zhiyuan Ren currently serves as a Professor at the ISN State Key Laboratory, School of Communications Engineering, Xidian University (Xi’an, China), and is a fixed researcher at the Key Laboratory of Emergency Command Communication Technology Application Innovation of the Ministry of Emergency Management. He graduated from Xidian University in 2011 with a Ph.D. degree in Communications and Information Systems. From 2018 to 2020, he served as the deputy secretary at the Jinchang New City Management Committee of Gusu District, Suzhou City, and was responsible for the introduction of technological achievements, transformation of technological achievements, and talent introduction. In recent years, he has published more than 30 papers in important academic journals and international conferences, and has won the first prize of the Shaanxi Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of the Technology Invention Award, and the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of China Society of Control and Instruction. His main research areas include networked collaborative computing methods for satellite clusters, drone clusters, the Internet of Things, and the Internet of Vehicles, which have massive, weak capabilities and decentralized features.
