He has a Doctoral Degree in Economics (PhD). He has written more than 50 articles that have been published in different academic journals related to tourism such as Current Issues in Tourism, Tourism Culture & Communication, Journal of Heritage Tourism, Journal of Outdoor Recreation and Tourism, or Sustainable Cities and Society. He is also an author of 6 books’ chapters and 2 books in prestigious publishers. Similarly, he has been a principal researcher of 2 projects that have been supported by public and private organisations, and as a researcher he has participated in 10 projects. His main lines of research are tourism economics and culture sectors. He is director of the Research Group "Quantitative Methods in Economics, Finance and Business" (SEJ-670). He has conducted different research stays in European countries and Latin America.
