Yanhui Yi, born in 1984 in Hengyang, studied chemical engineering and technology at the Dalian University of Technology (DUT, B.Eng. 2007) and obtained his PhD from the same university (2014) with Prof. Hongchen Guo on the direct synthesis of hydrogen peroxide through H2/O2 plasma reaction. Two postdoctoral fellowships followed and then he joined DUT, where he is now working as an associate professor. His current research interests are directed to activation of small molecules, including CH4 and CH3OH conversion, H2O2 synthesis, NH3 and H2S decomposition, as well as CO2 and CO utilization, by using both catalytic chemistry and plasma technology.
