Coordinator professor at Universidade do Algarve (PhD in civil engineering, 1996). Researcher of CEPAC - Centro de Estudos em Património, Paisagem e Construção (Portugal). Her research focuses on sustainable indicators, sustainable construction, and NZEB. She is responsible for the OBSERVE platform, an author of more than 40 manuscripts, and a reviewer of international peer-reviewed journals.
