Gabriel Andrei is a full professor of Mechanical Engineering at Dunărea de Jos University of Galati, Romania, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, since 2001. He has been a PhD supervisor since 2006, and a Director of the ME-Doctoral School of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering since 2012. Previously, he was Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He is an international expert evaluator for research projects and reviewer for many scientific journals indexed by Web of Science and Scopus. His research interests refer to advanced mechanical systems and materials including those for renewable energy, modeling and simulation, CAD/CAE/CAM, nanotechnology, and polymer composites.
