Location information is generally considered to be indispensable information in wireless sensor networks, but existing algorithms have notable limitations in their positioning accuracy in 3-dimensional (3D) spaces. To improve the positioning accuracy of nodes in a 3-dimensional scenario, this paper proposes a new method called N2-3DDV-Hop (non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II with 3D distance-vector hop) that builds on the 3D-DV-Hop algorithm by adding multi-objective model and NSGA-II. In this paper, it is analyzed that the limitations of the traditional single-objective positioning model and showed the relationship among the average hop distance, the number of sensor nodes, and the theoretical average distance. And then, the multi-objective positioning model incorporating the NSGA-II algorithm is presented. To evaluate its performance relative to other current methods, we compared our method by testing all of the methods with three different complex network topologies. Simulation results demonstrate that the N2-3DDV-Hop offered the best overall positioning performance compared with other algorithms and better robustness than the 3DDV-Hop algorithm.
A bat algorithm (BA) is a heuristic algorithm that operates by imitating the echolocation behavior of bats to perform global optimization. The BA is widely used in various optimization problems because of its excellent performance. In the bat algorithm, the global search capability is determined by the parameter loudness and frequency. However, experiments show that each operator in the algorithm can only improve the performance of the algorithm at a certain time. In this paper, a novel bat algorithm with multiple strategies coupling (mixBA) is proposed to solve this problem. To prove the effectiveness of the algorithm, we compared it with CEC2013 benchmarks test suits. Furthermore, the Wilcoxon and Friedman tests were conducted to distinguish the differences between it and other algorithms. The results prove that the proposed algorithm is significantly superior to others on the majority of benchmark functions.

The localization of sensor nodes in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) has been a thorny research problem. Existing DV-Hop based range-free localization algorithms estimate the distance from an unknown node to an anchor node by the multi-hop forwarding principle and the location information of anchor nodes. However, they lack an accurate distance estimation model of anchor nodes under different hops, resulting in inaccurate localization. To address this issue, this paper proposes a distance estimation model (DEM) for DV-Hop localization in WSNs. Specifically, DEM mathematically derives the farthest distance detected by an anchor node under different hops. Then, the average distance is calculated by the upper and lower boundaries according to the derived farthest distance. Finally, the average distance is embedded into a multi-objective optimization to solve the DV-Hop localization problem. The simulation results show that the proposed model is significantly superior to the state of the art in terms of sensor localization accuracy and cost effectiveness.

The spiking neural networks (SNNs) that efficiently encode temporal sequences have shown great potential in extracting audio-visual joint feature representations. However, coupling SNNs (binary spike sequences) with transformers (float-point sequences) to jointly explore the temporal-semantic information still facing challenges. In this paper, we introduce a novel Spiking Tucker Fusion Transformer (STFT) for audio-visual zero-shot learning (ZSL). The STFT leverage the temporal and semantic information from different time steps to generate robust representations. The time-step factor (TSF) is introduced to dynamically synthesis the subsequent inference information. To guide the formation of input membrane potentials and reduce the spike noise, we propose a global-local pooling (GLP) which combines the max and average pooling operations. Furthermore, the thresholds of the spiking neurons are dynamically adjusted based on semantic and temporal cues. Integrating the temporal and semantic information extracted by SNNs and Transformers are difficult due to the increased number of parameters in a straightforward bilinear model. To address this, we introduce a temporal-semantic Tucker fusion module, which achieves multi-scale fusion of SNN and Transformer outputs while maintaining full second-order interactions. Our experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in achieving state-of-the-art performance in three benchmark datasets. The harmonic mean (HM) improvement of VGGSound, UCF101 and ActivityNet are around 15.4%, 3.9%, and 14.9%, respectively.
The distance vector-hop (DV-hop) is a typical localization algorithm. It estimates sensor nodes location through detecting the hop count between nodes. To enhance the positional precision, the weight is used to estimate position, and the conventional wisdom is that the more hop counts are, the smaller value of weight will be. However, there has been no clear mathematical model among positioning error, hop count, and weight. This paper constructs a mathematical model between the weights and hops and analyzes the convergence of this model. Finally, the genetic algorithm is used to solve this mathematical weighted DV-hop (MW-GADV-hop) positioning model, the simulation results illustrate that the model construction is logical, and the positioning error of the model converges to 1/4R.
