Dr. Ammar B. Altemimi has an educational background in food science and food safety. He received his Bachelor’s degree with first-class honors from the College of Agriculture in 2003 and his Master's degree from the University of Basrah’s College of Agriculture in 2009. In 2016, he earned his Ph.D. in Food Safety from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, USA. Currently, Dr. Altemimi serves as the chair of the Food Science Department at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah. He specializes in teaching biochemistry and biotechnology for undergraduate students, as well as food chemistry and dairy products.
