Professor Cheol-Heui Yun, at Seoul National University, has focused on the action mechanism and modulation of host immune responses, interactive mucosal immunity, and immunometabolism. His interest includes dendritic cells and innate immune cells for trained immunity. Studies on the development of vaccines and adjuvants against viral diseases are among the most exciting parts of the studies on the concepts of cross-presentation, T cell activation, and memory responses. Not only mice and humans but also domestic animals are essential in Yun's lab to achieve the goals, such as maximizing growth performance and studying health issues. In conjunction with mucosal immune modulation, nutritional immunology would be another area for an upcoming issue in the lab.
