Ammar Al-Hamry graduated from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Allepo, Allepo, Syria, in 2002. He received his M.Sc. degree in nuclear applications from the University of Applied Science in Aachen, Germany, in 2009. He is currently a researcher in the field of hybrid carbon nanomaterial-based sensors leading the working group on electrochemical sensors. His research interest includes laser structuring of sensors based on graphene oxide and polymeric materials. He is also working on developing, simulating, and modeling electrochemical, gas, optical, and multifunctional sensors based on thin films. He is also developing electronics for sensor readouts and interfaces.
