José Antonio Hoyo-Montaño received a Bachelor Engineer Industrial Electronics degree from the Technological Institute of Hermosillo (1988), an M.Sc. degree from CENIDET (2000) and a Ph. D. degree from CENIDET (2005). Presently, he is a full-time Professor and Researcher at the Technological Institute of Hermosillo. His research lines are Digital Systems with application to the control of Power Electronics Systems, and Quality of Electric Power; Building Automation for the implementation of Energy-Saving Systems and Solid-State Lighting Systems. He is a senior member of the IEEE and Member Level I of the National Researchers System in Mexico.
