Dr. Hao Yu is currently a professor in the College of Animal Sciences at Jilin University, China. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Genetics and Breeding from the College of Animal Technology at the Northeast Agricultural University. He is now a director of the Animal Genetic Markers Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. He is mainly engaged in teaching courses such as “Bioinformatics” and “Biostatistics”, and currently participates in the national key R&D program—“Stem Cell and Translational Research”. His research interests are focused on the study of the mining of molecular markers related to pig economic traits, primate genome evolution, and tumor bioinformatics research.
