Dr. José Ignacio Huertas is a full-time professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey. He is the Director of the Sustainable Energy Research Group (SNRGY) at Tecnológico de Monterrey and the leader of the RELIEVE Energy and Vehicle Research Network (https://redrelieve.com/). He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNII) Level 3 and the Mexican Academy of Sciences. He has published three books, over 79 indexed articles, and two patents. He has supervised 12 doctoral students and 79 Master's students, and has led more than 120 research projects funded by private companies and government institutions in Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Spain, France, Germany, and the United States.
