Lena de Botton is an Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology of the University of Barcelona. She completed her PhD at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales in Paris. Recently, she led projects focused on upstander narratives against hate speech targeting cultural minority groups. de Botton has published over 23 papers in various journals, addressing topics such as gender minorities, the participation of Muslim women, inclusive education, effective educational practices, a dialogic model for conflict prevention, and inter-religious dialogue, among others. Her teaching areas include migration, social structures, effective educational practices, and dialogic feminism.
