Ilya Kirov is a principle investigator at the All-Russia Research Institute of Agricultural Biotechnology (January 2019–Present) and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Prior to that, he was a researcher at the Shemyakin-Ovchinnikov Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences (September 2016–January 2019). He authored/co-authored 42 publications with 699 citations and an h-index of 13 (Scopus, October 2023). His research activities focus on transposons, nanopore sequencing, cytogenetics, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and programming.
