Xinming Huang received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech in 2001. Then, he joined Bell Labs of Lucent Technologies as a technical staff member, conducting research on wireless IC design. Since 2006, he has been a faculty member at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he is currently the Dean’s Excellence Professor and a Satin Distinguished Fellow. He has published more than 150 referred technical articles and served as associate editor for several IEEE journals. His current research interests are in the area of circuits and systems for computer vision, machine learning, LiDAR processing, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and IoT systems.
