Mariana Deleanu is a chemical engineer having 27 years’ experience in food research and food analysis (fatty acids, pesticides, alcohols, vitamins, caffeine, organic acids, flavonoids, polyphenols) by GC–MS, HPLC and Spectrophotometry UV–Vis and IR techniques. Between 2009 and 2011, she was Head of the Chemistry Laboratory at ICA R&D. During this period, she has accomplished the accreditation of 27 methods of food analysis by RENAR. She has 12 years’ experience (2012-present) in studies of lipids and their oxidation products in cells and biological fluids, peptides and biologically active compounds. She has 12 years’ experience in developing methods of extraction for biologically active compounds, characterization of extracts, preparation and characterization of liposomes, nanoemulsions and phytosomes for therapeutic use. She is a member of Romanian Society for Cell Biology.
