We introduce a new family of iterative methods for solving mathematical models whose governing equations are nonlinear in nature. The new family gives several iterative schemes as special cases. We also give the convergence analysis of our proposed methods. In order to demonstrate the improved performance of newly developed methods, we consider some nonlinear equations along with two complex mathematical models. The graphical analysis for these models is also presented.

Newton’s iteration method is widely used in numerical methods, but its convergence is low. Though a higher order iteration algorithm leads to a fast convergence, it is always complex. An optimal iteration formulation is much needed for both fast convergence and simple calculation. Here, we develop a two-step optimal fourth-order iterative method based on linear combination of two iterative schemes for nonlinear equations, and we explore the convergence criteria of the proposed method and also demonstrate its validity and efficiency by considering some test problems. We present both numerical as well as graphical comparisons. Further, the dynamical behavior of the proposed method is revealed.

A topological index is a numerical value associated with the chemical constitution for the correlation of chemical structures with various physical properties, chemical reactivity or biological activity. A large number of graph-distance-based topological indices in various families of graphs and networks have been computed. In this paper, we consider two families, Cn(1, 4) and Cn(1, 5), of circulant networks and compute three distance-based topological indices, namely the Wiener index, hyper-Wiener index and Schultz molecular topological index on these networks.
In the present paper, we develop an efficient second derivative free two-step optimal fourth-order iterative method for nonlinear equations. We explore the convergence criteria of the proposed method and also exhibit its validity and efficiency by considering some test problems. We present both numerical as well as graphical comparisons. Further, the dynamical behavior of the proposed method is explored.

We use the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) to construct a new iterative system for solving non-linear equations in this article. The criteria for convergence in the scheme developed are also imposed. To show the validity and reliability of our process, we compare our regime with other current procedures by looking at various test problems.
