Dr. Mathilde Body-Malapel, PhD, HDR is a full-time researcher working at the University of Lille, France. Her expertise is focused on the effects of environmental pollutants on gut health. She is experienced in murine models of inflammatory bowel diseases and the analysis of intestinal homeostasis and microbiota. She has headed several projects aiming to decipher the impact of pollutants (air particulate matter, deoxynivalenol) on gut homeostasis. She is currently exploring the effects of microplastic and nanoplastic exposure on the digestive tract.
