1) Ákos Török is a full professor and the head of the Department of Engineering Geology and Geotechnics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary). 2) He holds MSc degrees in geology and environmental engineering and a PhD in earth sciences, and he has been a corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences since 2022.
