Dr. Neba received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Idaho State University College of Pharmacy in 2016. Upon graduation, she completed a PGY1 ambulatory care focused residency at Baylor Scott and White Health in Dallas, TX. She went on to pursue a PGY2 in ambulatory care at Kaiser Permanente in Denver, CO. She currently works as an assistant professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and her clinical practice site is at Baylor Community Care Clinic where she specializes in drug therapy management for chronic diseases. Usha Sambamoorthi received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Madras. She is a health economist who has dedicated her teaching, mentoring, and research efforts to improving population health by reducing disparities by gender, race/ethnicity, age, disability, and mental health. She received the 2018 Women In Science and Health (WISH) Advanced Career Excellence Award from West Virginia University (WVU). Her research focuses on improving population health through the examination of healthcare access, quality, and outcomes using “real-world” large data. She is one of the few scientists who is applying machine learning methods to health outcomes research, an emerging area. She has received outstanding mentoring awards from the American Public Health Association (2010), the WVU Vice President’s Award (2017), WVU Health Sciences (2017), and the WVU Distinction in Graduate Research Mentoring Award in 2020.
