Prof. Kaufman-Shriqui is an epidemiologist and a registered dietitian. She is the director of the graduate program in nutrition sciences at the Department of Nutrition Sciences at Ariel University, Israel and an affiliated scientist in the Center for Urban Health Solutions (C-UHS), St., Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, Canada. Her research focuses on investigating social, economic, and environmental causes of nutrition-related chronic diseases among various populations. Specifically, she focuses on allocating disparities in nutrition-related diseases. In her research, she focuses on developing culturally adopted methods while drawing upon her mixed methods and community-based research expertise. She is strongly committed to conducting research that informs public health policy. As such, the majority of her research studies have an identified plan for knowledge translation.
