Ancha Baranova maintains a versatile program in Biomarker and Disease Mechanism Research at George Mason University. Her training background is in Functional Genetics, and she has over 15 years of research experience in this area. Over these years, her research has focused mostly on systems biology and functional genomics approaches to characterizing novel genes involved in pathogenesis. Her wet lab research program is paired up with a bioinformatics program that utilizes computational techniques.
