Associate Professor Dr. Norhafiza Mat Lazim is a consultant ORL-Head and Neck Surgery at the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. She obtained her MBBS from The University of Queensland, Australia, and her Clinical Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology from The Netherlands Cancer Institute (AVL-NKI), Amsterdam, in 2014 and at VUMC, Free University Hospital, in 2015. She also had clinical training at Sydney Head and Neck Cancer Institute, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Australia. She has a strong interest in head and neck surgical oncology and acquired several research grants for head and neck tumors, including a multicenter clinical trial on tongue carcinoma based in the USA. She has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and is a prominent reviewer for multiple international journals, including Oral Oncology and IJPO. She is a member of AHNS, EHNS, ASHNO, ATA, BAHNO, IAOO, AIMS, IFHNOS, ESTM and ATF.
