In my research, I focus on Helicobacter pylori, a pathogen colonizing human stomach. In this context, I pay special attention to alternative methods of combating this microorganism and the defense mechanisms reducing the sensitivity of this pathogen to antimicrobials (coccoid forms, biofilm formation, and secretion of membrane vesicles).
