Zhenbao Liu is the deputy director of the pharmaceutics department, and a professor and principal investigator at the Xiangya School of Pharmaceutial Sciences, Central South Univeristy. He obtained his B.S. from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University in 2006, and earned his Ph.D. at Peking Union Medical College, Tsinghua University in 2012. He was a joint Ph.D. student at the University of California, Berkeley. He received a postdoctoral fellowship in the department of chemistry and cancer research centre of University of Florida. His main research directions are therapeutics and diagnostics based on nanomaterials and functional nucleic acids, especially aptamers.
