Full Professor, Researcher and Consultant with predominant work in the area of Mathematical and Computational Models involving Data Science and Combinatorial Optimization problems. Doctor in Transport Engineering, with a thesis in Modeling a Logistics System, from the University of São Paulo (2004) and Master of Engineering in Transport, with a thesis in Operations Research, from the University of Florida (1984). He is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, in São Paulo, Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Applied Computing and Permanent Professor of the Professional PhD in Controllership and Corporate Finance. Having held the position of Director of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics for two terms. He also works as a consultant and guest professor in continuing education courses for executives. His research involves Combinatorial Optimization techniques, with an emphasis on metaheuristics and mathematical programming focused mainly on problems of facility location, vehicle routing and clustering. In Data Science he works with statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms applied to masses of data involving complex problems.
