Edilson Delgado-Trejos received the undergraduate degree in electronic engineering, the M.Sc. degree in industrial automation, and the Ph.D. degree in engineering sciences from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Manizales, Colombia, in 2000, 2003, and 2008. Since August of 2008, he has been a Professor and a Researcher in the Instituto Tecnologico Metropolitano -ITM of Medellin-Colombia, where he has been Director of the Research Center (2009 to 2011), Dean for the Faculty of Engineering (2013 to 2015) and Vice Chancellor of the Research and Academic Extension (2017 to 2019). Currently, he is an Associate Professor and a Senior Researcher of this institution. His current research interests include pattern recognition, machine learning, data mining, nonlinear analysis, signal processing and soft metrology.
