Dr. Daniela Popescul is a Full Professor at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Business Information System Department. She is currently teaching and studying information security, project management, information systems, and information and knowledge management. She completed her PhD studies in mobile commerce and mobile business, extensions of electronic commerce. and electronic business at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi in 2005, and then worked as a PhD Assistant Lecturer and PhD Associate Professor there. Since 2022, she has been a Habilitated Doctor (doctoral supervisor) in Business Informatics at the Doctoral School of Economics and Business Administration at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi. She has authored more than 65 scientific papers, 30+ international conference papers, 2 books on mobile commerce and mobile business, 1 book on information security, and co-authored 13 books on information technology. Daniela’s current research interests are the social sustainability of technological solutions adopted in smart cities, social responsibility in ICT projects, ethical implications of the over-use of technology in education, and management of open innovation and user-generated innovation through projects.
