Dr. Athanasios Voulodimos

Prof. Athanasios Voulodimos is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering at the University of West Attica. He received his Dipl.-Ing., MSc, and PhD degrees from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) with the highest honor. He has received awards for his academic performance and scientific achievements from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), the Hellenic Mathematical Society (HMS), and the European Neural Network Society (ENNS). From 2007 to 2017, he was a Research Associate of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of NTUA. He has been involved in several European and national research and development projects, as a researcher, senior researcher, and technical manager. His research interests lie in the areas of machine learning, computer vision, artificial intelligence, multimedia analysis, and pervasive computing. He has served as an Organizing and Program Committee member in several conferences and workshops and has guest-edited collective book volumes and special issues in international journals.
