Dr. Peng attended the School of Medicine, China Medical University (Taiwan), gaining his MD in 1992; his MS at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, School of Medicine, China Medical University in 2003; and his PhD at the National Chung Hsing University. He started his residency in internal medicine at Taichung Veterans General Hospital and completed his fellowship training in gastroenterology from 1996 to 1998. He received his board of gastroenterology in 1998 and board of gastrointestinal endoscopy in 1999. In 1998, he became an attending physician at Taichung Veterans General Hospital. Dr. Peng is interested in gastrointestinal endoscopy, particularly in the biliary and pancreas systems, molecular medicine, and data analysis. He has published about 50 peer-reviewed articles in the fields of gastroenterology, endoscopy, and molecular medicine.
