Dr. Lamberto Re received his Medical Degree in 1983. He cooperated with the Max Plank Institute of Gottingen (Germany) and Fidia Georgetown University (USA) on the pharmacological characterization of neuro-mediator release in central and peripheral synapses and has published many articles on neurophysiology and molecular drug mechanisms. He has cooperated with the WHO in the Phase IV Drug Surveillance Program. He served as a Professor of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at the same university until he retired in 2010. Since 1991, he has been interested in the medical ozone field. Currently, he is recognized as an international expert on ozone protocols and ozone treatment as complementary to conventional medicine. He was invited by the DOHMS, Dubai, in 2002 and contributed to the development of the Ozone Center in Rashid Hospital. He was awarded the Riccardo Monti Prize for “scientific work done to spread ozone practice in Italy and around the world”, in May 2013, in Florence. He served as the President of the Italian Federation of Ozone Therapy from June 2015 to September 2017 and the Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of the World Federation of Ozone Therapy. He has authored more than 200 publications in international journals, including 86 on the pharmacological characterization of ozone action. Currently, he is an international speaker, highlighting the role of the Nrf2 metabolic pathway in the biochemical mechanisms activated by medical ozone.
