Assoc. Prof. Norbert Enzinger is deputy head of Institute for Materials Science, Joining and Forming at TU Graz in Austria and Guestprof in welding technology at University West in Sweden. After studying mechanical engineering he habilitated 2010 at TU Graz in the field of welding and failure case analysis. Besides teaching in the Bachelor program of mechanical engineering, he is responsible for master courses in the field of joining, fracture mechanics and failure case analysis and supervises several master and PhD students. Currently his experience in welding is focused and applied in the field of wire based additive manufacturing using arc and electron beam as a heat source. He is member of ASMET, ÖGS and IIW where he is chairmen of sub-commission IX-L dealing with weldability of low alloyed steels.
