Professor, PhD., Habil., Physicist Engineer and System Analyst. I have a B.S. in Physics Engineering at the University of Bucharest, Romania 1987; a Diploma in System Analysis and Computer Programming, 1988; and PhD in Atomic Physics from the University Babeș-Bolyai, Cluj-Napoca, 1998. I have been working with the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu since 1990 and served as Head of the Physics Department, Director of the Doctoral School, and Vice President of the University Senate. My research is in the area of dynamic light scattering (DLS) and static light scattering (SLS), nanoparticles synthesis and characterization using optical methods, DLS time series processing using artificial neural networks, and the Monte Carlo simulation of light transport.
