José Carlos Teixeira graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minho and received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in 1989 from the University of Birmingham, UK. He is currently a Full Professor at the MEtRICs, University of Minho, Braga, Portugal. He works in the area of Engineering and Technology, with an emphasis on Mechanical Engineering. His main fields concern the application of non-intrusive methods in fluid mechanics and the application of heat-transfer techniques in energy-conversion and -processing technologies.
