Shynar Mazkirat, born in 1986, is a senior researcher in the Laboratory of Biotechnology, Physiology and Biochemistry of Plants and in the assessment of product quality. Currently, he is a first-course PhD student at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He is a graduate of Wageningen University and Research (WUR) with a master's degree in plant science, The Netherlands (2020–2022). He received a bachelor's degree in biotechnology from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan, in 2010. He has 10 years of work experience in molecular biology and plant genomics. His research interests include molecular biology, physiology–biochemical and molecular markers in agricultural crops, genetic diversity, plant resistance to stress, marker-assisted selection, bioinformatics, and genomics.
