Prof dr Mirjana Pešić is a full professor at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Agriculture. Her scientific research focuses on food constituents, biochemical transformation during food processing, bioactive compounds of food, the valorization of functional food waste, the techno-functional properties of food, food digestion, and knowledge transfer to the food industry. She has coauthored 124 papers in journals included in the ISI Web of Knowledge (2.700+ citations; h-index: 28). She is president of the Scientific Committee of the UNIFood Conference. She is a founder and member of the Serbian Association of Food Technologists (SAFT), a member of the Serbian Chemical Society, the Serbian Nutrition Society, the Commission for standards and related documents KS E275, the international organization for standards for bee products ISO/TC 34/SC 19, and a member of the food working group Smart Specialization of RS. She is a GHI Ambassador for Serbia.
